Brother Justin

I joined Freemasonry in 2009 in Berkshire before relocating with work to Norfolk where I continued my masonic journey. In 2019 I returned to Essex and began the process of joining Stedfast Unity during the covid lockdown as a joining member. Since joining Stedfast Unity I have rediscovered my love for both Freemasonry and learning the various elements of ritual that we work through.

I became a Freemason due to having known several masons over the years and becoming deeply interested in the deep history and traditions of the order. It is an excellent way to meet people from all walks of life, providing many opportunities for personal growth, be that in the form of developing your interpersonal abilities, such as speaking to large groups of people, as well as building yourself into a more rounded person according to the moral teachings that run through the ritual.

Freemasonry has a significant core charitable function and most of what we do is based around charities (both masonic and national/regional charities). I enjoy being part of a body of people that raise vast sums for charity every year, contributing to vital public services, such as NHS and Fire Service. We also try and raise money for local charities to give back to the community we live and work in.
